Pursuing a passion.
Sri Sai Dance Academy is an institution dedicated to learning, understanding, and fostering interest in Kuchipudi. It was founded by Smt. J. Sarada with the support of her daughter, Smt. Ameya King. Sarada developed technical perfection, theoretical understanding, and passion for dance through her dynamic teaching style that nurtures self-confidence. Students under her tutelage have completed their rangapravesams and performed in India and the United States, as well as teach and choreograph in dance camps and performance arts courses.
Smt. Sarada Jammi and Smt. Ameya King firmly believe that a well-rounded approach for dance should not only be practical training and lived experience, but also grounded in an understanding of theory. As a result, Sri Sai Dance Academy is affiliated with Silicon Andhra’s SAMPADA program and guides students to earn their Kuchipudi certificate via SAMPADA, and also supports and encourages students wishing to pursue their Diploma or Masters in Kuchipudi.
